Early Bird Alert on Nicholas Day. On 6.12.2016 the kickstarter campaign for the Raspiboy will start. Sounds like Raspberry Pi. So this should be worth a preview of the story.

The Raspiboy is actually a small Raspberry Pi. More specifically, a Raspberry Pi Zero. This is combined with an interface board, a display, a few buttons and a battery quickly to a Game Boy emulation station.

As it seems, 8b craft will be primarily offering the Raspiboy as a kit. But do not worry, you do not need any experience in SMD soldering. Rather, we have to do with a plug-in kit, which is also easy for the non-electronics technician to put together. Just have a look at the video. The assembly looks really quite simple. Reminds me a little of the assembly of a toy from a surprise egg. Only without chocolate.

Since the makers of the analog bike computer Omata have been silencing since July, it is nevertheless nice that now with the Moskito Smartwatch / Bike computer a new concept is preparing it’s launch.

So that you can spontaneously prepare on it, I would like to give a first outlook. Unfortunately, many technical data are not expected until Monday. But the pictures, which already exist, look very sexy.

The Moskito is actually a device with two application areas. On the one hand, we are dealing with a Smartwatch. However, since the Moskito is only completely based on an analog pointer display, one can assume that the Smartwatch functions will be more limited to vibration alerts for incoming messages and calls. A paired smartphone provided of course.

Again an interesting folding bike concept: The Prefeel claims to be the first automatically foldable folding bike. Of course we have to take a closer look at it.

As an old Foldy fan, interesting folding bike concepts in my german blog are already a good, old tradition. But since we have already seen there yarious ideas it is not easy to astonish me. But the Prefeel has some fresh ideas, which are absolutly worth talking about. But one after anonther.

In the unfolded state, the Prefeel looks like a normal folding bike. However, a few attachments and the frame curving forward to the side quickly fall into the eye. The attachments are castors and a handle, which in the folded state allow the owner to push the wheel like a trolley upright through the area.

Getting a  4×12”’ full-stack with a fridge size rack right on time to your hand when you want to jam with your beloved guitar isn’t always possible. Ok, and the neighbors will probably thank you, if you do put it on 11 in your bedroom. So maybe you should take a look at JamStack.

Today small amplifiers are not seldom and even smartphones now shine with quite cool amp simulations. Unfortunately you’ve got to fights here most times with handling problem. The smartphone on the knee is nevertheless rather a shaky matter.

A fan over your head? No problem with tonbo, the flying fan drone (image: kickstarter/©:Dsin)

And again another nonsense of the week candidate: Tonbo, the flying fan drone.

Anyone who has ever let fly a drone will have noticed that they are blowing a lot of air. Ok, this is also not a big surprise for anyone who does not have a drone yet.

This air must also be used, the ladies and gentlemen of: Dsin thought and so Tonbo was invented. We have  at first sight a common drone. Only the cable to which Tonbo flies differs him from his unexpected relatives.

Tonbo on the leash

The idea is actually very simple. Tonbo floats over the owner’s head on hot days like a tethered balloon. The exhaust air of the rotors then provides a pleasant wind. The cable has two reasons. On the one hand, Tonbo can not run away, and on the other hand, he does not hit the head after five minutes. How big the Powerbank is in the backpack is left to your own.
